JEWELLERY CARE INSTRUCTIONS 

Gold Plated Jewellery

When it comes to gold plated jewellery, it is always best to avoid wearing it in water, in particular swimming pools and spas, as chlorine can damage your jewellery in a very short time. This is most important with regards to stone sets and in particular crystal set jewellery. All of jewellery pieces are set in specialised glue that does not react well with water or everyday “chemicals” such as shampoos or perfume.

  • Remove jewellery when showing, bathing and swimming as chlorine can damage your jewellery in a very short time.
  • Avoid wearing jewellery when doing manual work such as housekeeping, gardening or sports.
  • Avoid spraying perfume and hairspray on gems or pearls, as they will endanger the integrity of the material.
  • Jewellery should be removed when applying makeup and lotions to prevent residues from entering the texture or gem setting.
  • Clean you pieces regularly using jewellery cleaning spray OR clean them in warm water with fragrance free soap, and use a soft cloth or a soft cotton cloth to pat dry. (DO NOT rubbing it as it can caused discoursing.)
  • Gently wipe your jewellery with a soft cloth regularly to maintain shine. 
  • Store your jewellery in our jewellery box/pouch in room temperature and out of direct sunlight.

Gold-Filled Jewellery

Our gold filled jewellery, which contains 100 times more gold layers than gold plated, they are extremely durable and a great alternative to solid gold jewellery. 

  • Safe to wear in shower. Do not apply shower gel or lotions directly onto the piece.
  • Avoid wearing your gold filled jewellery to swim in the ocean/ pools as salty water or chlorine can damage your jewellery in a very short time.
  • Avoid wearing jewellery when doing manual work such as housekeeping, gardening or sports.
  • Avoid spraying perfume and hairspray on gems or pearls, as they will endanger the integrity of the material.
